Shocker to Congress, Four MLAs resign in Gujarat before Rajya Sabha elections

Rajya Sabha Elections: Even before the Rajya Sabha elections in Gujarat, there seems to be a problem for the Congress. Gujarat Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi said on Sunday that four Congress MLAs have submitted their resignations.

He said, ‘Four Congress MLAs have submitted my resignation on Saturday. I will announce their names in the assembly on Monday.’

After the current situation, the number of Congress MLAs in the 182-member assembly has come down from 73 to 69. Just before the Rajya Sabha elections, the Congress is afraid of horse trading by the BJP in Gujarat.

Please tell that the Congress has already shifted its 14 MLAs to Jaipur in Rajasthan. According to sources, these five Congress MLAs are in touch with BJP. At the same time, preparations are on to send 36 other Congress MLAs to Udaipur.

The Congress fears that the BJP may dent their MLAs. On Friday, 3 BJP nominees and 2 Congress nominees had nominated for 4 Rajya Sabha seats. Rajya Sabha elections are due in Gujarat on 26 March.

When questioned about the legislators being brought to Udaipur, MLA Himmat Singh Patel said that everything is fine. Every party has its own strategy, it is just a part of that.
