Share Market Today: Sensex plunges 3100 points, to trading till further instructions

Share Market Today: Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc and the biggest impact is on the economy. All the stock markets including the US, Japan and India have seen a huge slowdown.

The US market Dow Jones slipped to 1943 points with the opening on Thursday. After this, trading had to be stopped for some time. There was a slight recovery in the middle, but closed with a drop of 2352 points in the last.

It is also seeing its impact on the Indian market. On Friday, the pre-opening saw a drop of 3100 points. The Nifty dropped 900 points. At 9.23 am, the Sensex lost 3090 points at 29,687, while the Nifty was down 966 points at 8624.

Earlier on Thursday, the BSE Sensex took a dive of 2919 points. This was the biggest ever decline in the history of Indian stock market.

The NSE Nifty also fell 868 points below the psychological level of 9600. 11 lakh crores of investors were drowned in this one-day decline.
