Militants hurled a grenade attack on Sunday at the residence of a National Conference leader in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The grenade exploded near the compound wall of Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir’s house in Murran village without causing any damage, police said.
Reports said that the Suspected Militants hurled Grenade at his residence followed by firing which was retaliated by security by security forces. However no loss of life or injury reported.
This is the first major event of attack on a politician after Amit Shah has taken charge as Home Minister. Identity of militants is not disclosed to media.
