End of two decade old conflict in Afghanistan – US to pull out troops

The US marked an arrangement with the Taliban on Saturday that sets the phase to end America’s longest war — the almost two-decade-old clash in Afghanistan that started after the September 11 assaults, killed a huge number of individuals, vexed three White House organizations and left question and vulnerability on all sides.

As per the joint proclamation, the US will finish its troop withdrawal from Afghanistan in next 14 months with the underlying draw down of powers from a sum of 13,000 to 8,600 occurring in the following four months.

“If the Taliban and the government of Afghanistan live up to these commitments, we will have a powerful path forward to end the war in Afghanistan and bring our troops home,” President Donald Trump said on Friday

The withdrawal of US troops is reliant on the Taliban’s satisfaction of significant duties that have been deterrents for quite a long time, including its severance of ties with worldwide fear based oppressor gatherings, for example, Al-Qaida.
