Exited by exit poll predictions, Bharatiya Janta Party has started preparation to celebrate Lok Sabha election results on May, 23 in a big way at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
Party workers at the BJP headquarters on Monday were enthused and confident of the massive victory right from the beginning of the polls.
While several workers had been given offs on Monday because they had been slogging tirelessly during the seven-phase general election, preparations were in full swing for May, 23 when the results will be announced, a BJP worker stated.
The party staff were busy overseeing the preparations for the big day and stated the exit polls had underlined what they were always assured regarding.
“Our entire focus had shifted to elections and the leaves of every one were cancelled.
We were working 24X7 during the election time and we’re confident that we will breach the 300 marks,” stated Jitendra Rawat of BJP’s media cell.
A delegation of 21 opposition parties led by Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu will meet ECI officials on Tuesday. It is believed that opposition will pitch for the demand of cross-verification of VVPAT with EVMs in an entire Assembly segment, in case a discrepancy is found in any polling booth during counting.
